The sun shines on my corner of the world this afternoon and all I wish for is a floaty, tanning oil and the pool. Unfortunately my day dreaming comes to an abrupt halt when I smell the stench of a messed diaper and realize my young man has filled his pants to the brim and is now merrily sitting in it. How lovely. My day yesterday was filled with runny noses, wiping runny noses, giving baths to wash crusty yuck from the noses, hands and hair of 2 adorable little girls that I love dearly. I'll have to admit, I was down right delighted and overjoyed when there father came home and I could say, "It's been good, heres a box of kleenex's, please do enjoy!!!" It was pure freedom to walk out the door and know that my "child" duties were done for the day and I could head home to my clean, QUIET house, with my dear, sweet husband........then it hit me.....I wasn't heading home after all......I was headed to VBS to take care of more CHILDREN!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I pointed my car towards the sound of yelling, running feet and utter chaos and off I went to join my husband and our class of rowdy (and just for emphasis can I say ROWDY again) children who insist on talking over one another and if that doesn't work spewing forth the answers in the loudest OUTSIDE voices they can muster................one more night I keep telling my self. One more night. Than I realize that these are Gods little people, and I'm being SELFISH (yes Mel, selfish is what I said) by not throwing my whole heart into this and enjoying all the little quirks and funny things that take place. So tonight I'll do better. I'll revamp my brain and tell my self it's gonna be a party, this is fun and why doesn't bible school last a whole nother week? It's amazing what a attitude adjustment can do for you? I recommend trying it........but not saying that you need it. Pictures of our life to follow. Its to much work to write it all out and besides, I know you'd rather look then listen to a bunch or brainless rattling so here goes...... The latest addition to the Dennis Swartentruber family. His name would be Shmingy, he's a little rodent-ish, he loves raisins, he refused to leave his mess in his cage and INSISTS on pooting on the basement floor, to be honest, he looks like a large rat but Dennis thinks he's great, I THINK I do too, but not for sure. You can check back later on that.....
Candle light supper in the woods for my man! We had a great evening, complete with carved initials on the tree...
